Very Basic Little WebCam

This camera is sold under the name "Logitech QuickCam Chat" (the "961462-0413" number is the product number on my box so I know I'm reviewing the right product).

This camera is fine if you don't want a built-in mic, prefer manual focus, need it to attach to a laptop or flatscreen monitor, and don't want to spend very much. The picture isn't fantastic - you get what you pay for - but is adequate for chat or a website webcam. It is NOT a high-end camera, the colors aren't really that great, and I had to really fiddle with the settings to get it to look normal (I solved the "blue wash" of the picture by adjusting the White Balance, unchecking the Auto box).

Update: I would like to report, after using this cam for just under a week, that I have come across a problem with it. Since installing it, my Windows Live Messenger (MSN) has not been functioning properly - my contacts cannot message me. I have read that other people have had issues with MSN after installing the Logitech webcams. I have ensured that MSN is functioning with the webcam, but my problem persists.
