logitech thumballs great

Date of Review:  Feb 23, 2008
Review: Unlike the other user, I enjoy the CHANGE of using my thumball at home because I use a regular mouse at work. I have had this thumball for almost 10 years. It is still going strong.

Superior Mouse Control

Date of Review:  Aug 23, 2005
The Bottom Line: If you only have one pointing device, this should be it. Precise control, superior comfort, and competitive price make the Logitech Trackman the easy choice.
Review: I have been using the various iterations of the Logitech Trackman for many years. These trackballs are extremely precise due to their optical tracking system: The balls have small dots on them, and an optical sensor tracks the movement of these...

A Definite Good Buy

Date of Review:  Feb 11, 2006
The Bottom Line: Definitely buy it, but keep the receipt handy just in case. The right-click mouse problem I've described may be what makes you want to return it, but take heart.
Review: I have had my Trackman Marble since December, and I must say that it is remarkably easy to use, and a wonderfully precise instrument. I have a laptop, and the touchpad, while good, gets annoying at times, to the point where I'm frustrated with it. I...

Only mouse I use

Date of Review:  Feb 18, 2006
Review: No more wrist pain. No more slamming the mouse on my desk to clear off the "fuzzies". I've been using the original for more than 4 years at home and just bought a new one for use at the office. Simple 3 button design with scroll wheel not crowded...

An ergonomic dichotomy ? or ?How can something that seems so clumsy be so nimble??

Date of Review:  Dec 27, 2008
The Bottom Line: While it takes some getting used to, the reward is worth the effort.
Review: Bread pudding for desert? Or Bread & Water for the prisoner?
Most of the reviews I have read about the Logitech Trackman Trackball Mouse have ranged from good to the best thing since sliced bread. Obviously from the number of stars in my review,...

Why use a regular mouse?

Date of Review:  Jun 18, 2004
Review: I have used my Trackman for several years now and would not go back to a regular mouse by choice. I use it for both standard computer apps and for gaming. The system is responsive and uses much less desk space because you don't have to move it...

Good quality - a bit awkward

Date of Review:  Jun 29, 2006
Review: I just purchased this trackball mouse because the one I had was an optical mouse with buttons on the side for your thumb and ring finger. The problem I was having with those buttons is that every time you want to pick up the mouse, you hit the...

Lame imitation

Date of Review:  Jul 6, 2006
Review: This is a poor imitation of Logitech's original (and high quality) Trackman Marble Wheel. Despite using the same ball and mounting scheme, they decided that they could make this new version without a ring to remove the ball for cleaning. I loved my...

Review: You could call me a computer nut . Enter my desktop, and you will see, from a distance, a desk, computer, monitor, keyboard and mouse. Get a little closer, and, on the monitor, you ll see I m running Linux. After that initial (small shock), try...

Not an ergonomic solution for me

Date of Review:  Dec 15, 2006
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for an ergonomic replacement for the mouse, look further. The thumb actuated trackball will likely cause more problems in the future.
Review: I work at the computer as part of my job. Recently I've been feeling pain in my wrist and palm using my mouse (Logitech MX1000) and have since been looking for an ergonomic solution. Websites and some coworkers have recommeded a trackball as...
