Heart warming

Little women staring Winona Ryder, Susan Sarandon, Gabriel Bryne, Trini Alvarado, Samantha Mathis, Kirsten Dunst, Claire Danes, Christian Bale, Eric Stoltz, and Mary Wickes is a wonderful heart warming movie.

I enjoyed every minute of this movie. Not once was it boring. Winona Ryder's character Jo was so full of energy. The love she had for her sisters was very powerful. I could feel how protective she was over each one of her sisters.

I have three daughters myself and I was so caught up in the mischief and fun these girls shared together. It warmed my heart to see how they bonded together during their hardships. This movie reminds me of how blessed I am in life. I have it easy, but I cannot help but yearn to experience what they did. How they appreciated each other and all they had.

The Romance in this movie is magical. It is not lustful or corny. I like how it leaves much to your own imagination and a slight yearning for more details. I guess that is why I was left with a feeling of wanting to know more about these woman and how their lives will unfold.

I have much admiration for Marmees character played by Susan Sarandon. I can only imagine how hard it was for her to bring up her girls with her husband off fighting in the war. The surprising moment of his arrival home filled me with so much joy for her. I would have to say one of my favorite parts in this movie is when Amy came home from school and told how she was punished in front of the class for having limes in her desk. I think Marmees choice to take Amy out of school and give the teacher a piece of her mind was very brave, and to further hear her say that Jo would teach her was even better. How wonderful to have daughters to help teach their siblings school at home. What a wonderful way to grow up and bond even more.

I could go on and on about this movie and all my favorite moments in it. I can only end with saying this; if you want a down to earth movie to help you appreciate your own life and your children, Little Woman is the way to go. I am so glad I chose to buy the DVD so I can watch it anytime I feel like it. At $10.00 it was a bargain for such a great movie.
