Little Tikes Climb and Slide Great for Little Ones
Date of Review: Feb 18, 2009
The Bottom Line: Great for a fun climbing toy that can be used outside as well as inside since it doesn't take up a lot of space.
Little Tikes Climb and Sllide Castle is great for toddlers.
Size and Playing Structures Included: Size wise this does not take up a lot of space compared to other Little Tikes items and slides. The slide offers a variety of different activities, more than you would get from just purchasing a slide. Instead of stairs the child climbs up a "rock wall" type wall, which I liked because it taught my young son a different type of climbing then he was used to. The slide is a little steeper than most, so children can go down faster, but it isn't that long. They can stand on the castle part, between the rock wall and slide. There they can look through the little windows or turn the steering wheel. Underneath there is also a "tunnel" opening that children can go under and through.
Time to Put Together: Putting this together is rather simple. all the screws are plastic and big. Little Tikes includes the things needed for putting it together. The slide just pops into place. The one thing I really like is that it is just as easy to take apart. That means that I can take it down for a while if they get bored of it and then bring it back out later and it's almost like it is new to them.
Enjoyment: My kids really seem to enjoy this, they are 1 and 2 1/2 years old. They can take turns on it or both stand on the castle. I do think that they may out grow it quicker than most slides on the market, but since I have two children that are close in age I don't mind. I definitely recommend this for mothers with children 2 years apart or less. It is great because it really allows them to play together.
