And you think your family is screwy

I put off watching this movie for years because it was one my mother liked. Well, all it took was one viewing and I was hooked.

While Katherine Hepburn has been cast in many roles as a woman with a sharp wit, her portrayal of Eleanor of Acquitane (sp?)is positively splendid. As a woman exiled by her husband, brought out only for special occasions, her feelings for her husband and children ring true even today.
If there is any authenticity to the times, it is truly a miracle France and England survived, let alone rule most of Europe at one time or another.
