good hardware but requires good network knowledge

Review: In fact, I have a WRT54G (without S = old version of the WRT54GS).

There is an "easy install" CD but if you want to configure manually, the documentation and administration panels suppose that you have a good network knowledge/background...

What a nightmare!!!

Poor Performer Poorly Trained Support

Review: At first glance, the WRT54G looks mean and ready to outperform the others. But transfer rates are no more than 1.5MB/s at close range. Even with the dual antennas, the WRT54G has a very limited range yielding 18Mbps @ 15 feet.
