Basics
The Network Everywhere NR041 is sublabelled Linksys. It's functionally the same as the Linksys BEFSR41, but physically smaller, aluminum case instead of plastic. 1 public/WAN port and a simulated 4-port switch for the internal LAN. Built in firewall. Simple web config. Includes a set-up CD which isn't needed.
Usage
If you're familiar with the BEFSR41, or any of the WRT models, then you'll recognize this router.
Menus are laid out simply, with all of the basics directly available with 1-2 clicks. Moderately advanced routing configuration can be done under Advanced. There are some minor issues, under the routing config.
Specifically, if you want to allow a range of ports, but there is one port in the built-in, you have to split your range around the existing ports, even if not enabled. This uses up valuable port forwarding slots, limiting its use for home servers.
Overall, it's pretty simple to set up.
Problems
The menus use overcompressed jpegs for text, making some of the options a little fuzzy to read.
This router wouldn't connect via PPPoE, where my WRT53G does.
