goodbye surfboard

I'm on a cable hookup and was using the cable provided modem, a motorola surfboard. The speeds were erratic and there was a monthly rent charge that the cable company hides in your bill. Hence I decided to purchase this modem to go along with my Linksys wireless router. I now average consistant speeds above 3.2 mbps and have not lost a connection since it was hooked up. Set up was simple. Plug everything in and call the cable company, give them the MAC number on the modem, and your cooking. Nothing else was needed. The modem connected to the router without a problem. The linksys products stack right on top of each other, and take up very little room.
