Pros: Linksys track record of quality. Form factor. Connection options.
Cons: None that I know of.
The Bottom Line: You can buy other branded modems for less, but do you get the warranty of the Linksys and the Linksys record of quality?
Review: Hello, to everyone. Let me tell you about my research and experience with the Linksys wired BEFCMU10 version 4 cable modem. Linksys has been making this cable modem for several years. Version four is the latest iteration. As far as I can tell, ...

Review: My Motorola Surfboard modem died the other day after less than 2 years of service, so it was time to go out and buy another one, because I refuse to rent a modem from an ISP when in about 7-8 months you have paid for one (my ISP charges 5 bucks a month ...

The Bottom Line: Great cable modem to go with Linksys router. Fast, reliable, and ready for future DOCSYS upgrades.
Review: I bought this modem to replace my 6 year old Toshiba PCX1100U cable modem. It started to drop connections more and more frequently, probably due to it being a DOCSIS 1.1 device, while the network was already on DOCSIS 2.0. This model is the Linksys ...

Better than renting from Cable Co.

by   chicagogirl1 ,  Mar 17, 2002
Pros: Good Price. Good Tech Support
Cons: None Yet
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this modem to anyone who anticipates keeping their cable internet service for a while and is renting a modem from the cable company.
Review: I purchased this modem for our cable internet service. The idea was that the cable company charges $15 a month to rent a cable modem. This unit cost $99, meaning it should pay for itself in seven months. It was on the list of our cable company's...
