Don't be missing your Links

I looked at the screen shots on the back of Links LS 2000 and was initially not too interested. The game looked virtually identical to Links LS 99 and indeed, when I eventually buckled and bought it, the gameplay looks very similar.

Looks are where the identical nature of the two games start and end however. No more can you just club away at full power without having to worry too much. The dynamics of the game seem to have been tweaked so you really get punished for anything more than a very slight screw up - You should NEVER even think about trying to hit above the yellow line unless you have the greatest reflexes in the history of mankind, because you will find your ball about half a mile off to the left or right and probably out of bounds.

The graphics are as always excellent. I consider the graphics to be much the same as in Links ls 99 other than the fact that the courses seem to be designed a little better and the scenery looks perhaps a little more real from a distance.

If you have previous Links LS versions, it is worth installing the courses from your old cds as these work fine under this version (as always).

Links LS 2000 is the benchmark of PC golfing games. There are some nice new features and tourney options so I really feel that even if you own Links LS 99, this would be a more than worthy addition to your software library.
