300K miles in a 2003 Towncar

by   meribona ,  Jan 31, 2006
Pros: Comfortable ride, good power and mileage, decent price, durable
Cons: Poor handling, image problems
The Bottom Line: Recommended for comfortable freeway travel. Soft suspension makes mountain roads a chore
Review: Yes, you read that title right --- 300K miles on a 2003 Lincoln Towncar. And how have I managed to do that, you ask? Simple. I run a limousine company and we have a fleet of 2003 Lincoln Towncars. Our oldest one has 300K miles on it, probably a third of ...

Lincoln, for those who travel well.

by   cwa2003 ,  Jun 9, 2003
Pros: Redesigned interior and exterior, smooth ride, and elegant style.
Cons: NONE
The Bottom Line: If you are in the market for a luxury car then look no further then the Lincoln Town Car, it lives up to every expectation that you would have.

Initial thoughts of the 2003 Lincoln Town Car

When I first laid eyes on the new Town Car my first thought was wow, what a change for the better! Those were my initial thoughts as I looked at the new car at the local Lincoln-Mercury...

2003 Town Car

by   hammer_time ,  Sep 7, 2005
Pros: Ride, room, comfort, and surprisingly gas mileage.
Cons: Cheap latches on the arm rest compartments.
Review: Best car I ever owned. The ride is incomparable as is the room inside. It's like kicking back in my Lazyboy and driving. Power is good and deceiving. With such a smooth ride, you can get this big dog rolling at 70MPH before you know it without ...

Lincoln's Redesigned 2003 Town Car: Better but Not the Best

by   scmrak , lead in Cars & Motorsports at Epinions.com ,  Mar 2, 2003
Pros: luxury appointments
Cons: fails to meet current technological standards
The Bottom Line: Lincoln's flagship, the Town Car, has been redesigned for 2003. It could have used a bit more redesigning, if you ask me.
Review: You don't get to be the "most popular" at anything by failing to give people what they want. That goes for entertainers, restaurants, writers, and - oh, yeah - auto manufacturers. Even though most of us automatically think "Cadillac" when the subject of...

Eight days with the Town Car.

by   wilkit88 ,  Jul 13, 2003
Pros: Riding on clouds, seating space, acceleration. Uses 87 octane gasoline.
Cons: Some features and build materials not up to par for a luxury carmaker's flagship.
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended for rental, or consideration for ownership. It's approach to luxury is unique (that goes both ways), perhaps only rivaled by Cadillac.
Review: I took my family on vacation to the Canadian Rockies and rented a Lincoln Town Car Signature Premium ...

i actually traded in my avalon on the town car

by   godlessamerica ,  Dec 9, 2002
Pros: lots of room, elegant body design
Cons: hard to park, short on technology
The Bottom Line: i traded in a 2000 toyota avalon, and so far i'm happy. retro looks, modern mechanicals, a superb highway cruiser. what's not to like?
Review: yep . . i know it sounds crazy. but i actually traded in my 2000 toyota avalon xls on a 2003 lincoln town car. here's why:

the avalon has "almost" as much leg room as the town car, but is 4 inches narrower between the doors. it's easier to...
