Sandisk compact flash is among the best and brightest of compact flash card manufacturers. They present a product that is compatible with nearly ever pda, camera, mp3 player, printer, and in some cases phones, that have a compact flash slot.
They come in a variety of sizes, colors, and uses. Of course when I talk size I mean how big is the storage. I have seen their products start off at 2 MB and go to 4,8,16,32,48,64,96,128, and soon to come if not out the 140ish level. They present areas of storage capacity that fit everyone's needs. You no longer have to buy the product that isn't within your means. This company has designed the card so that it is compatible with everything. The cost, in comparison to other cards is a little bit less.
They give entry-level digital photographers access to small amounts of storage space that is within that persons means.
I will give you a real like story of sandisk success. I have a Hitachi hpw-200ec generation 2 hpc color, has the works. The machine wouldn't survive with the amount of documents that I was putting on it week after week. Since the ram and rom are work off of the same thing, it would suck down processor speed. I found out about sandisk about a year back, and bought a 16 MB card. I still haven't filled it up yet. I have almost 200 documents in there, not to mention all of the games and other programs that are included. This product, is definitely at the for front of storage and spatial capacity domination. They are going head on with IBM right now to make a larger drive, that isn't as expensive. Currently, the only reason IBM is winning is because they have put their large capacity micro drive out. But that needs a special drive. Ones that are being planned to come out from sandisk are getting close to IBM's microdrive range, which is 340 mb (IBM microdrive goes for around 400-500 bucks). If you want long-term capacity for pdaing and digital photography, sandisk is the way to go. IF you want large capacity room, you can wait a few months more and get sandisks larger drive that will cost less than IBM's micro drive.
