Dangerous headlight problems!

Date of Review: Jan 5, 2009

I guess I am a little relieved to see another headlight challenge pop up here.  A month ago the low-beam on the right side of my 2006 GS apparently burned out, at great expense.  I had it replaced for over four-hundred dollars.  Okay, those things happen.  HOWEVER, now two weeks later the driver's side headlamp "burned out," but before I had it replaced, it came back on!

Now the lowbeams on both headlights "burn out" on a daily basis, alternating between the right and left lamps.  Sometimes I can turn the lights on and off, and the situation will correct itself, but only temporarily.  The worst case scenario happened this morning at about five-thirty, while driving on a very busy Interstate 95 in Florida, BOTH low beams went out simultaneously, leaving me to drive with only the running lights to illuminate the Interstate!

I am curious as to other owners having this experience.  I am on the way to the dealer, as we speak.

Pros
The only "pro" is the quality of service I typically receive at Lexus of Melbourne.
Cons
This will likely be the family's last Lexus.  Too many expensive  "little things."
