Japanese artistry on wheels - GS300 sedan

by   rainb19 ,  Nov 4, 2006
Pros: Zippy, super quiet, firm handling, Mark Levinson, welcoming lights on keyless entry
Cons: Interior lighting is dim, no service interval warning
The Bottom Line: Great Buy for serious audiophiles and driving enthusiasts who want quiet, non-flagrant luxury that lasts.
Review: The sporty new GS 300, with its low, sleek lines and very hi-tech systems, is Japanese artistry and craftsmanship on wheels. While significantly smaller than the LS400, it's just right for city driving and cramped car parks. Keyless entry is taken to new ...

a nice luxury/sport sedan

by   franke0007 ,  Oct 24, 2006
Pros: Super smooth with great style and luxury
Cons: rain sensing windshield wipers, run flat tires firmer ride
Review: Having owned a 2001 GS 300 before I can compare the two and tell you what I feel are improvements with this new model. I loved my old Lexus, the new one has a firmer ride that I don't like as much. Yes the handling is better but I don't like to feel ...

New Lexus is art on wheels.

by   pbernard ,  Aug 7, 2005
Pros: Looks, Stereo, luxury features, Keyless entry, Dashboard.
Cons: Temporary spare tire, Smallish trunk.
Review: April 2006...update. I have had my new GS 300 for a year now and have had no problems at all. It starts up every time and is eager to hit the road. I don't see many on the road in my area, but I think the car is great. --- This is my 3rd Lexus and ...

Dangerous headlight problems!

by   profglenn ,  Jan 5, 2009
Pros: The only "pro" is the quality of service I typically receive at Lexus of Melbourne.
Cons: This will likely be the family's last Lexus.  Too many expensive  "little things."
Review: I guess I am a little relieved to see another headlight challenge pop up here.  A month ago the low-beam on the right side of my 2006 GS apparently burned out, at great expense.  I had it replaced for over four-hundred dollars.  Okay, ...

My new car search: Lexus GS300 RWD

by   davlav ,  Feb 6, 2006
Pros: Top notch interior, comfortable and quiet ride, Lexus reliability
Cons: Numb steering, underpowered
The Bottom Line: A very comfortable, competent sedan but I wouldn't go so far as to put the word "sport" in its description.
Review: My Search: Before I get to the actual review, I just want to give some context as to what kind of car I am looking for in terms of needs and preferences. This was you'll have a better basis for how my opinion may or may not fit with your own. ...

Headlight problem had me running out of the showroom

by   nancyschorr ,  Dec 18, 2005
Pros: Fast, handles well, comfy, sporty.
Cons: Serious headlight problems, cramped back seat.
The Bottom Line: I loved this car, but drive alot out in the boondocks where there are few streetlights, and don't want to turn on brights to see.
Review: I loved driving this car, it's sporty, fast, sexy, etc... but decided not to buy it based on other reviews I read on other websites concerning the headlights. Apparently there's this weird problem with the headlight not illuminating enough when on ...

Navigation System

by   lt-46280773508 ,  Sep 30, 2005
Pros: Full featured; large display.
Cons: Incorrect and inaccurate mapping and directions.
Review: The Navigation System on the 2006 Lexus GS300 is defective and Lexus has no plans to remedy. It can be UNSAFE in certain conditions - it will tell you that the next turn is on the Left when it in fact is on the Right. Multiple, specific deficiencies ...
