I love my Lex

1st off I like to thank epinion in helping make my decision for my vehicle. I had a Nissan Maxima it was a great car but after 165k it’s time had come. Living in Texas I know I wanted a “truck” in Texas SUV are trucks too. My chooses were the Nissan Frontier, the Mazda Tribute “a Ford”, Rang Rover Freelander or the Lexus RX. After reading many reviews and consumer reports I decided on the RX, the only problem so I thought would be the price. I was able to find a late model from a LEXUS dealer with low miles for 20k with 3yr warranty. If you do buy a used Lexus buy form a Lexus Dealer because from my shopping experience you leave the peace of mind that the dealership with stand behind you and there is lots of follow up try getting that at any other used car place (ya right).

Now the RX300 the ride is super and the handling is quit intuitive although its turning radius could be a bit smaller. The displays are all clear and reachable with little are no-effort. The cruse information on the LCD display dose not show how many miles before the next fill up. Also the gas tank is a bit small for an SUV my max had a 13.9gal tank and the RX is 14.9 but when you compare the RX to other SUV the gas mileage is good and I find it to be true when drive normal and not like a bat out of hell. The RX has some Get Up and Go but she is no speed racer. I use to try to out run anyone that would try to pass me in my max but the RX has tamed me the ride is so comfortable that it doesn’t seem to affect me if someone else is racing by.

If I could add or change any thing on the Rx. I would make the rear window a power window similar to the Rang Rover or like the 4runner. I would make the center console display compatible with IR so you could upload your scheduled from your PDA. Also would add estimated miles before next fill up to the information console. Last but not lest make the turning radius smaller. Over all the RX300 in the past month has server me well and I for see it to do so for yrs to come.
