Author's Review
Bought it in Dec 2001 with 48K miles on it. Have since put on 120K additional miles. In all that time I've had to replace several batteries (this car seems hard on them) and one headlight switch. This car is bulletproof and just keeps on going rock solid. It does require a $1500 timing chain replacement every 90K miles, so budget for that. Other than what's mentioned above mine has never seen the inside of a shop except for routine maintanence (oil changes, tires, brakes, etc). in over 7 years. Glides smoothly and quietly on the right tires -- don't cheap out, get the Michelin MXV Energy's. I tried cheaper ones like Ziex and they were loud within 10K miles.
I get tempted by other, newer cars a lot but just can't justify replacing such a comfortable, reliable, car.
Trunk is good sized, but for a car this size I would have expected it to be bigger.
