2nd trouble free ES 300

by   tkbalt ,  Nov 24, 2002
Pros: Reliability, dealer experience, warranty
Cons: price, size (a little small for back seat passengers).
The Bottom Line: It won't be your last Lexus. The ES 300 is a great car.
Review: Purchased 1998 ES 300 used from Dealer in August 2001. Vehicle had come in off lease with 24K miles. Currently have 39K miles on vehicle. Lexus certified used cars are a wonderful alternative to a new car. Vehicle has performed as new and at 39K is...

Great Value Luxury Car: Lexus ES 300

by   dbhoutx ,  Jan 8, 2001
Pros: Well Built
Cons: None
Review: The ES300 is one of the nicest car in its class. It is similar to numerous other mid-sized luxury cars. Some may even call it full sized, but I guess it is all in the eye of the beholder. I think of even bigger cars when I look at "full-sized"...

Still the Best Car I've Ever Driven

by   A.E.B. ,  Dec 5, 2000
Pros: Handles well, very comfortable, well designed and built
Cons: pricey
Review: I'll probably never look at driving the same way because this was the car I learned to drive on. I still can't think of a single thing to complain about, and I've never driven another car that came near to this one. I couldn't hear a noise while...

Good Ride

by   rj4592 ,  Dec 14, 1999
Pros: Full package a a great price.
Cons: Nothing I have found yet
Review: This is the first as e-pinions calls it near luxury car that I've owned but in my opinion,it is truly a LUXURY automobile. For the price, you can't beat it. Try finding a $30,000 car that is fully loaded, has leather interior, and an engine that could...

Save Money-Buy a Loaded Camry

by   brsrkrerar ,  Nov 9, 1999
Pros: Luxury,Quite, Roomy
Cons: PRICE for a Lexus nameplate
Review: We have owned our ES 300 for one year and spent $33,000 with all the options but our neighbor bought a loaded Camry for 24,000 that when parked side by side they are basically the same . Lift the hood and the same engine with different name plates . The...

Buy this car!

by   u_can_trust_me ,  Jul 31, 2001
Pros: Quiet & smooth ride
Cons: Limited head room in back seats
The Bottom Line: A beautiful luxury car that is easily obtainable and will be the envy of your friends.
Review: This car will last forever! I bought it new and it has been one of the best decisions I've made. Soft leather seats which can be heated is a must-have for the harsh winter months. Dash is remarkably clear and easy to read, especially at night - very...

You can't go wrong

by   hmwiener ,  Nov 1, 2000
Pros: Great quality, comfort, handling and performance
Cons: A little cramped in the rear
Review: I compared the ES300 to a number of similar cars and found that there isn't much that truly compares with it in its class. In the nearly three years that I have had it, it has needed no maintenance other than scheduled service. This impresses me as I...

What a ride!

by   riverdragon ,  Apr 20, 2006
Pros: I carried a beach umbrella through the hole in the arm rest.
Cons: I wish I could have it forever. No other car in the horizon for me.
Review: When I test drove it through a construction site, it won me over. I bought it with 65,000 miles and it now has 186,000 and I have had NO problems. I put synthetic oil and baby it with weekly car washes. Black on black baby, I feel like Carmella ...

1998 Lexus ES 300 - High Dollar Toyota, but Very Nice!

by   mongomad1 ,  May 6, 2007
Pros: Sharp looking, many creature comforts, plenty of power and very reliable.
Cons: Back seat is for kids and those that can be mistaken for one.
The Bottom Line: Even if you see one with over 100,000 miles, if it was treated right, she probably has another 100g in her if you give the car the same care.
Review: My mother-in-law sold my wife this car as she upgraded to the 2005 Lexus LS 430. The '98 Lexus ES 300, 4 door is a very nice car with a peppy 6 cylinder, 3.0 litre affording you 200 horses under the hood. This is plenty enough engine to get you around, ...

The Nice Toyota

by   zammeran ,  Apr 28, 2000
Pros: Nice car, because it's a Lexus
Cons: too much like the Camry
Review: Well, this is a nice car and all that, but why not just get a toyota camry xle v6. It's basically the same thing as the es300. Thought it is not totally like the Camry, it has a better engine and a smoother ride, but that is the main difference. You are...
