Forget the Pursuit of Perfection, Lexus has already achieved it! I am the proud owner of a 1997 Lexus LS 400. After owning and driving almost every luxury car on the market, the LS 400 is arms and legs ahead of the competition. The 290 hp 4.0 liter V8 is the smoothest and most exhilarating engine one could imagine. The timeless design that has changed little since the vehicle's release in 1990 is a classy design that reeks of pure luxury and pleasure. The Lazy-boy-like leather seats are the most comfortable I have ever sat in. Leg and headroom are ample in this flagship cruiser. The rear seats are a little stiff, but overall have sufficient head and leg room. The interior is easy to navigate and the amenities are endless. The only this this car does not do for you is drive. Steering and handling are what one would expect from a large luxury sedan, but the ride and low interior noise level is unmatched by any other car anywhere. Burled walnut wood adornes the interior, but is not overbearing. The LS 400 has excellent visablity and the TRAC system makes it easy to drive in inclement weather. This car is perfection and is the best value compared to the BMW 740 IL or the Mercedes S-Class.
