I am on my second Lexus LS 400. I bought them both as certified dealer cars and am reasonably satisfied with the 95 that I now own. The car is as advertised but the dealer service leaves a great deal to be desired. The car squeaks and rattles and no amount of tweaking fixes it. Also, brake work at the dealer is hideously overpriced. I was quoted $600 to $700 for a "complete brake job" This car only needed pads. Sixty thousand mile service is similarly pricey. Quotes are from $1000 to $1200 and they will try to get you to ok a new timing belt. This is gouging and borders on the criminal.
