Great as a boat anchor

Based upon this product, I would never buy another Lexmark product again. The main reason being lack of or inept technical support. Problem #1: The copier function does not copy to the extreme margins of an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper ; Problem #2: the tech support personnel don't even know about this limitation. They are immediately willing to declare it a "faulty unit" and send you a replacement. Problem #3: The Vista drivers were about 4 months too late and then were exceptionally buggy. They are still buggy to this day. Problem #4: Lexmark declares the X6170 Windows Vista drivers "minimally functional drivers". I guess they consider the X6170 a legacy product and not worthy of writing a fully functional bug free driver for. Problem #5: Whenever you reach tech support, they want you to run through the same script every time, ie. run "vistaclean" and reload the latest vista driver for the x6170. Nice trick as this necessitates a reboot and ends your session with this tech support person (pass the buck onto someone else after you reboot). Problem #6: The ink runs out exceptionally quickly (moreso than other brands I have owned). Problem #8: I still haven't found a solution to the case of a print job hung in the "deleting" phase tying up the jobs behind it w/o having to power cycle the printer. That has been my solution. Lexmark can't answer my question w/o having/wanting me to start with the VistaClean process yet AGAIN. Too many problems to even consider buying another Lexmark product ever again.
