A Cheap Printer!!!!!!!!
Date of Review: Jan 25, 2008
The Bottom Line: I wouldnt buy this printer because it has some problems. The biggest problem is the paper handling because it gets jammed all the time.
I decided to go to walmart and buy a printer for my laptop because I needed to print out a lot of documents for school. I told the guy at Walmart that I wanted to buy a printer that had all of the capabilites that I needed but was reasonably priced. I wanted to be able to scan and print in black and color. The guy at Walmart told me that the Lexmark X2550 would be the perfect printer for me. It sounded like a great deal being that the printer had all of those features and was only $45 dollars. I went home happy that I finally had a printer. After I got the printer, the problems started fast. I realized that it was just what the guy said a cheap printer. The first thing that tore up on it was the screen broke in half. The second thing is that I printer out just 25 pages in color and the color catridge is already gone. The next thing that happened was the fact that everytime I go to try to print something the paper jams. I have never printed anything off of this printer that the paper didn't jam. I was completly irritated at this printer. So, I loaded it up and took it back to Walmart. This time I bought a little more expensive printer and it works like a baby. One night It took me over two hours to print 20 pages of paper because I had to stop printing several times to get the paper unjammed. Then I would have to restart the printing where the printer left off when it got jammed. I will never buy another one of these printers. I hate that I ever made this purchase. I guess the saying is true that you get what you pay for. In this case, I got a cheap printer that has some problems that need to be fixed. My recommendation would be to not buy this printer unless you want to spend two hours trying to print 20 pages.
