ink fairies at their finest

If you are looking for a device that makes you theorize about conspiracies in the printing industry while attempting to convince yourself that your neighbor is NOT stealing your new ink cartridges and replacing them with old ones.... than yes- buy this printer.

I didn't use this printer very often. I used it for a lot of black and white documents and very few photos. However, it seemed as though every time I turned around it would be low on ink. I finally decided that I was being ripped off buying the lexmark ink and started to refill my ink myself. This didn't help. The ink fairies still came and they continued to suck all the ink out of my printer and bring it to the land of lost left socks and phone numbers.

I feel this way about every aio printer I have owned to date. Something about being multi-fuctional seems to make them ink eaters.

Other than that- here are a few other problems I had with this printer:
paper feed tray is flimsy and broke, jams up all the time, doesn't hold a lot of paper in the paper tray, scanner didn't always work (had to manually get info from it off my computer), cover for scanner was flimsy, buttons didn't always work when I wanted them to and insanely priced ink... I am sure there are more but I can't think of them at the moment.

I finally realized that I could buy a 'new' printer with full ink offline for about the same price as the ink.

Needless to say, my local freecycle network sees a lot of free printers pass through... all in need of ink.
