Author's Review
I have had this printer for about a month, and although I will admit it is not a high quality printer, I have not had any big problems with it yet.
It does use a lot of ink, especially when you think of the high cost of cartridges. I have; however, printed out more than I expected to be able to after reading reviews for his printer. Even though I have only had the printer for about a month, I already have the low ink warnings, so I have bought extra cartridges.
The problem with the cartridges, on top of the high cost, is that the replacement inks - such as the office depot brand - will only cost you a few dollars less, so even there you cannot cut the cost by much.
Another problem I have with this printer is that it prints out very inconsistently in regards to the darkness and thickness of the print. If you need to use this printer for printing out resumes, cover letter, scholarship letters, and other important documents, I would suggest that you should get a better quality printer.
The pros about this printer are that it is relatively low cost, and that it comes with both scanner and copier. When you run out of ink, just give this one to Salvation Army and get a tax receipt, then go buy yourself a new printer that comes with cartridges.
