Got a laptop? Don't bother!

My kids had the previous version of this game. They played it on our old PC which was an old Dell running Windows 98.
The kids really liked the game, but it was slow.
I bought the kids a new laptop running windows Vista. But when we tried to run it, it would not work.
Since the kids really liked the game I figured it was because it was an old version, so I went and bought a new version that says it is compatible with Vista.
Exactly the same issue occurs. The game installs, runs and then stops running as soon as you try go get into the game portion.
A check of the read me file says something to the effect that "This game can be played on a laptop, but it is not recommended." I wish they had put that on the outside of the box instead of on the readme file!
Trying to get help from the lego web site is useless, I can't even find it in their list of products.
So, I now have 2 versions of this game, neither of which I can play on the kids new PC.
