It heats well and that's about all.

I purchased this heater for use in my dining room. I wanted something to give a little extra heat and at the same time, I wanted it to look somewhat nice. I didn't want one of those small space heaters. So, I picked up the Lasko Cyclonic Ceramic Heater with an adjustable thermostat.
Well,it does look good! It's sleek in design, blends well with the room, and does not take up a ton of space.
It heats very well. Okay, this is not going to be your main source of heat. It won't be able to heat several rooms. It will, however, heat one large room and it makes the temperature very comfortable.
Here's the not so good part. That thermostat feature just doesn't seem to work correctly. It's as if it's reading and displaying the current temperature of the room?? Then, if you adjust the heat setting, that temperature reading moves up and down. So, I have no idea if it's displaying the current temperature in the room or if that is the temperature it's trying to achieve. Either way, even if I set the temperature using the heat adjustment controlls, the heater will re-set the temperature itself. I just can't understand how it works.

Someone else's review mentioned that this ceramic heater is prone to tipping over. I have mine sitting on a hardwood floor and I put it out of the way. So, luckily, I have experienced no tipping over. However, I can definitely understand how easily that could happen, especially on carpet or if there were children around. The ceramic heater is quite light weight and it's design makes it tall and slim. It could go over easily. I hope anyone that's considering this ceramic heater will take that other review into serious consideration.
