A great HP product that saves time and space.

The Bottom Line: In a busy office we need speedy, reliable, convenient and cost-effective office machines. This printer delivers all of that for a great price. It?s low maintenance too.
I'm a big fan of HP's reliability and try to use only this brand of machine at home and at work. This particular printer is for work and it is several years old but is still going strong. It gets quite a workout each day (5-6 days a week in a busy office) but we haven't had any major issues with it.
On a regular basis it easily handles reams of paper, cheques, envelopes, various labels and light cardstock. I've fed it half sheets of paper and labels too and the roller runs a little longer looking for the end of the sheet, but it still works. I also print over forms; this works most of the time but sometimes the paper is grabbed at a bit of an angle so it doesn't line up perfectly.
Paper jams are a non issue and I think I've had two in as many years. Due to the small design, if something does get stuck, it's very easy to just take out the toner and remove the jam.
The toner is easy to replace and lasts a long time. We also buy non name brand toner and those work well too.
We did have some issues when the printer got dirty (the roller) and our sheets all had grey on them. We used compressed air to spray the roller and the insides down and switched the toner and that worked wonders.
Overall the machine is relatively fast, prints good quality and it is compact for desks where space is an issue.
Negative/Weirdness: If you get an error, the next time you reboot, your last print job will print again even though it wasn't in the queue at the time of shutting down. If this was a big job, it wastes a lot of paper.
