Author's Review

This is an excellent magazine. It is a nice well bound monthly periodical. The magazine is great for the beginning jeweler or metalsmith. Each issue has a section with projects. The projects range from metal work to stone faceting to polymer clay techniques. Each issue has several projects covering a range of skill levels. Although I wish there were not as many ads at the back, I find the articles and photos inspiring. The articles on stones are well researched and always connect with an artist profile. They are also beginning to cover more articles on beads with the rise in popularity of beading. My new issue that arrived yesterday has a nice article on Chinese pearls. If you are a beader, you should at least buy the bead issue that comes out each October. It is wonderful! Overall, it is worth the price.
