Not A Bad Buy For The Money...

I purchased 2 so far, along with a Lanzar MXA282 to run them (plan is for 4 subs and 2 amps). I purchased them for a budget, entry level SPL car I'm working on. While you often get what you pay for, Lanzar gives you some of the best bang for the buck. These are good entry level/budget subs. By that I mean they use simple parts (pressed paper woofer, foam surround, etc.), BUT they do put it together well. The inputs allow for easy wiring of the dual voice coils (each coil input also has its own output!) and can easily accept 8-gauge wires. The wires are held tight by allen screws and the actual leads are woven into the spider. Vented motor assembly helps keep things cool and the basket looks and feels very solid. There's really nothing to hate about them for the price and at $40 each, they're a good sub that'll keep you happy as long as you stay at the recommended RMS and don't try to feed them more. At 500 RMS, I'm at the musical limit and at that wattage these pound hard in the vented enclosure. Can't wait to get the other set in :)
