LadyHawke - Always Together, Eternally Apart

Date of Review:  Sep 26, 2002
The Bottom Line: Don't make a Bishop mad at you....
Review: What shall we review today, my friends? Let's wander over to the DVD collection and see if anything strikes us...

Ahhhh here's a good classic! LadyHawke is one of those movies that transcends time. A fairytale for the romantics, a fantasy...

Rutger Hauer, Michelle Pfieffer, Matthew Broderick LADYHAWKE

Date of Review:  Jan 2, 2001
The Bottom Line: To sum it up, I have to say that this is an excellent choice for a quiet evening at homne with your "love". Try it the next dreary weekend.
Review: The Plot

Michelle Pfieffer plays Isabeau. She is a woman of unrivaled beauty who captures the heart of the community of Aquilla. She is even the target of the love of the Bishop.

However her heart already belongs to the Captain...

Beasts With Burden

Date of Review:  Aug 9, 2001
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for fantasy films draped in the musical score of Devo-like synthesized bliss...you'll love this baby. Otherwise, just look for Pfeiffer and turn off the sound...
Review: In the annals of 20th century cinema, many a fine film has been pushed to the back bin of public thought and scope. Some have found this fate due to poor marketing and lackluster coverage. Others can mark their place amongst the obscure with one...

"Nothing is Impossible!"

Date of Review:  Nov 8, 2000
Review: This 1985 movie has long been one of my favorites. It features Rutger Hauer when he was still a hunk (if you don't believe this is possible take another look at BLADERUNNER) and before Matthew Broderick was consigned to the oblivion of mediocrity...

Triumph Over Joy

Date of Review:  Feb 14, 2007
The Bottom Line: "Ladyhawke," the movie makes an impossible quest and life long dream come true.
Review: Richard Donner directs the "Ladyhawke," movie, is worthy of romantic fantasy. Its drama is revisit of medieval period. I'm amazed it earns a nomination from the Academy Awards for its sound and sound effects editing. It is a movie that captures the...

Ladyhawke is a galloping good fantasy adventure with silly music.

Date of Review:  Jun 26, 2003
The Bottom Line: This is an excellent fantasy, with a strong cast and script, photographed on locations of great beauty. Great stuff -- lot of grody music, though.
Review: The title music of this film is so ridiculously out of touch with the mythic-mediaeval character of the story that whoever put it in should be forced to listen to it continually for the next millenium. Thank the gods for "mute". The rest of the...

Ladyhawke: Broderick, Hauer and Pfeiffer in a Richard Donner Fantasy

Date of Review:  Dec 24, 2000
The Bottom Line: I love this movie and will give up going out for ice cream to watch it.
Review: I have to give the credit for this movie to Richard Donner, the director. The story is pretty ordinary. The acting is acceptable, but not extraordinary. The cinematography is beautiful, but I've seen better. Still, through his craftsmanship, these...

How to make a bad movie and have people love it.

Date of Review:  Apr 11, 2001
The Bottom Line: A tribute to overcoming obstacles. Script isn't great, much of the acting is very weak. Nevertheless, you are bound to like it.
Review: This opinion is likely to be confusing. Why? Because the movie is just plain bad. But, I like it and you probably will as well.

First, let's just go over the story. It's rather simple.

It seems a certain curse was put on two...

A good fantasy adventure movie

Date of Review:  Feb 20, 2001
The Bottom Line: A good movie that lacks a decent plot. Doesn't quite bore you but does not keep you watching.
Review: Ladyhawke, starring Matthew Broderick (famous for Ferris Bueller?s day off), Rutger Hauer (famous for Blade Runner and Guinness commercials in England) Michelle Pfeiffer is a fantasy, adventure and love story combined into one.

The Plot...
