I am very happy with the LG 2455 washer

After reading some of the reviews on the LG and other front load washers we were afraid to spend this much money and have problems. But after a month of use we have had nothing but GREAT service so far. First is the very efficient use of water. Its amazing to me that it can use so little water and still get the clothes so clean but it does. This also means a LOT less detergent used. So not only do we save on water use, detergent use is about 60-70% LESS. On the old top load machine it was 4-5 ounces but with this new one it is more like 1-1.5. I think many of the issues people have had with grunge build up on the gasket are from not using HE detergent and using too much detergent. This is a completely different machine than an old style top loader and it takes a bit of getting used to and learning about it BEFORE using it.

The load sensor is great and tells you exactly how much detergent will be required based on the measured weight. I also like the way the machine turns one way then another during the wash cycle. It has so many options on temps, cycles, water levels, extra rinse, extra soil, pre-wash etc etc.

Some people have complained that the time display is wrong but so far ours shows EXACTLY the time remaining. If you tell it your clothes are extra dirty or add extra rinse cycles then of course it takes longer but this is not an issue at all and our display is right on.

Also the spin cycle is SO fast that the clothes come out nearly dry and therefore reduces drying time by 1/3. This has to save a LOT of power in the long run plus smaller hot water usage due to less overall water in the wash and rinse.
The stands are great the their poly drawers are great for storing laundry supplies.

Also the spin speed is adjustable and it even has a feature that allows you to tell the machine that you have a problem floor or some other issue that prevents it from being used as designed as a high speed spinner and then it will adjust automatically to slow down the drum as needed.

I have a stiff floor system and don't use this so mine spins VERY fast. Plus it is Quiet. Even when spining I barely notice it running even when in the next room with the laundry room door closed.

This is a GREAT unit and I highly suggest you consider it, just make sure you read about detergent use and softner use and don't overdose it.
