LG 2016CW FRONT LOAD WASHER

Bought this washer about 8 months ago when our old Whirlpools were damaging our clothes.  I did not want to spend the extra money on the front loaders, but my wife talked me into it.  I would do it again in a heartbeat.  We save on average about $12-15.00 a month on our water and sewer bill.  Plus the washer and dryer use much less electricity than our old model.  You can wash a ton more clothes in these things as well.  In my opinion this washer is much gentler on clothes.  There is nothing for the clothes to get hung up on (unlike a top loader).  I haven't seen our clothes come out all tangled either.  Clothes definitely come out cleaner.  The washer does tend to vibrate, but it is not the washers fault, talk to the people who built yourhouse.  Unless you have a very sturdy floor it will vibrate.  LG makes note of this in the manual.  You may have to support your floor better if the vibration is bad.  The vibration comes from spinning at such a high RPM.  This is why the clothes are just damp when you put them in the dryer.  The front loader cycles do take longer, but the drying time is much less.  In the end it probably take about the same time as before to wash and dry a load.  I love the display and the funky soundsthis thing makes as well.  Obviously this is not why you buy a washer, but it is nice none the less.  We wipe the door seal after a load and leave the door cracked open.  We haven'tt had any odor problems, just didn't want to take that chance.  As far as the detergent goes,  the bottles cost about the same as the regular detergent, but my wife says it lasts much longer(she should know, she is always doing wash).    Front loaders are a little different, but in the end I think most people will be happy with them.  They do  tend to cost more, but if you look for a sale and with the savings in water and electric you will recoup that money in no time.  I would definitely recommend this washer.
