Great product to transfer videos and record off Tivo

The Bottom Line: Great product that is easy to use once you figure it out initially. Good product that allows lots of recording options (VHS-DVD dub, record from TV/camcorder/TIVO)
Review: I purchased this DVD/VHS combo recorder in May 2008 in order to transfer my home videos from VHS to DVD. I didn't realize that there were recorders out there to accomplish this. I almost went to a business and paid $20 per DVD/home video transfer!...

I'm Very Disappointed

The Bottom Line: I would have liked to have seen a few more reviews before purchase.
Would not buy again. If you want to record and watch I would avoid it.
Review: I bought this model to replace the previous LG DVD/VHS recorder that, after 5 months, wouldn't read, play, FF or rewind DVDs properly without freezing up.
After one week the new model (RC897T) started to shut down timer recordings from regular...

lg dvd/vcr combo

Review: after 1 year this product shut down. both vcr and dvd
quit working. LG does not back up thier products.
