This LG unit is subpar.

The Bottom Line: If it was cheaper, maybe, but not good enough for the money I paid...

LOUD AS AN AIRPLANE!

Review: I bought this thing to cool a small bedroom. I picked it because Consumer Reports said it was quiet (so much for them!). The fan alone is indeed quiet. Then BOOM here comes the vibrating low pulsing grind of the compressor. Try sleeping in a room...
