A good value but not ideal

Purchased a few days ago, this over-the-range LG microwave works OK and appears to be a good value for the price. However, it's very noisy. Every time you use the oven, the range hood fan comes on. The service person told us it's designed to do that to keep the unit cool while operating. It's hard to hold a conversation with the sound of a jet engine in the background. We're sending it back.
