Initial thoughts - Wow!

After much deliberation and hours reviewing online - and a timely 10 percent off deal at Home Depot - I plunked down the cash to upgrade my old Whirlpool.
First off, the energy and water usage compared to my old washer are nearly 1/3 less than before, which is always nice when it comes to saving money on the power and water bills.
Second, I don't have a fear of washing clothes at night now because this thing is so much quieter I have to walk by it to see if its running. Even at full spin speed, my central air unit is louder, and it's pretty quiet at that. And the door locks while in use, which is nice given I have a 4-year old who likes to open things.
I opted for the pedestal, and mounted properly and leveled, it slid right in under my cabinets with about 2 inches to spare and has sat right there through about 12 wash cycles. The clothes come out slightly damp, making it no problem for my new Maytag 9700 dryer to finish the job in roughly 20 minutes.
So far, I can't say anything negative about the unit. I haven't used the steam fresh cycle yet - since the wife took a bunch of clothes to be dry-cleaned the day before it was delivered, but if it works as well as the other cycles, that cost should be cut in half or more.
