LG Ice Maker

We have this fine appliance in our home,It is very quiet.
Our only complaint is the ice maker,it has a VERY LOW output.When hooked to a normal water source it produces about one tray (8 cubes) per hour.After 2 service calls I'm about to give up and try to return the box.I have been advised that this ice maker has not been used by other manuf. for many yrs.as it is a very poor design and won't last more than few yrs.I wouldn't recomend this appliance to anyone who uses an avrage ammount of ice.
I purchased the three year extended warrenty,I have been advised that I will need to use it because the ice maker won't last that long.
There are no repair facilities for LG within sixty miles of my house so they sent out a repair man from Maytag appliance repair ! He had no remedy for this simple problem.I would like for someone at LG, Customer service to take care of the problem.
