This refrigerator was great....until it broke down and I needed help from LG!!

The appeal of this LG refrigerator is obvious from the first glance....money saving, energy saving, attractive, and an ice maker and water dispenser on the door. There is plenty of space in both the refrigerator and the freezer and the engineers did a great job of making use of that space with bins for nearly everything you can think of, a pop or beer can dispensing wire drawer (which ended up being a bit flimsy)and excellent lighting. Mine had the LED display that shows the desired temperature in the refrigerator (but not the actual temperature however). And allows you to adjust the temperature with push buttons.

However, I have found mine to be a lemon and I have read on other web reviews that this is a common problem and the computer board frequently goes out on this unit.

I have had this refrigerator for almost two years. During the warranty period the refrigerator half was getting warm and the fan that is used to push the cold air from the freezer into the refrigerator half was making a lot of noise. LG sent out a repairman under warranty who said it was ice build up that was caused by the door being open too long. Although I was sceptical because my family is pretty good at getting in and out of the refrigerator I accepted his comment and everything was fine. Unfortunately, It happened again after the warranty was up and I called LG up but they refused to help. Would not even let me talk to a technician to see if I could figure out why this was happening!! I will never buy an LG product again. Life is not Good with this refrigerator!!
