Fantastic replacement for Calypso lemon

This washing machine is absolutely wonderful!

We have been suffering for several years with a lemon washing machine - the awful Calypso - ugh! - and finally settled on a brand new replacement washing machine - this LG model. We did a lot of shopping around and research and comparing different brands and different models. This has all the features we were after and this LG washing machine is such an incredible improvement over the piece of Calypso poop we had before. I feel like I am in heaven!

We bought this washing machine on 26 June 08 and it was installed on 1 July. From the first time I tried using it, it has lived up to our expectations and even exceeded them.

Our family typically does on the average of 3 loads of laundry a day and I am so happy to have this workhorse in our home! I love all the features this washing machine offers. I especially love the dial selection button which I think will last much longer than the flat surface push buttons other machines have. It is also very quiet. I especially appreciate the large capacity of this washing machine and the fact that a lot of the water can get spun out with each load.

The only drawback I can find is having to wipe out the drum to prevent a mildew odor from forming. Not quite sure why that issue could not have been resolved in the design of this machine though.
