LG WM0642H Great Washer

After much research, we chose this washer to replace our 7 year old Maytag Atlantis which died. I was a little nervous about purchasing an LG product as we have never in the past. I spent probably 2 weeks going to the stores and online researching, before we picked the LG WM0642. After speaking to many different people it seemed the American brands aren't doing to well (many get returned), its like they are getting by on their name today, not on quality. We have had this washer for 6 months now, with no problems. We purchased it at Best Buy, they delivered it for free and took the old broken washer away for free too.

This machine wasn't the most expensive front loader on the market which was a plus (I was shocked how much some washer were). At first I was a little intimidated by the machine, but once I learned everything, this is the easiest machine to operate, everything is pre programed. If you want to change the pre programed things you can, really easily. The way detergents are added on the top, makes it clean and easy for you, and you know the detergents get added evenly no worries. This machine is very quiet. It matches our 7 year old Maytag Atlantis dryer as it has all the buttons on top vs. on the front like some other LG front loaders. So it doesn't look miss matched, like it would of is we had purchased one of the other front loaders from LG. I love that it has the glass window, so you can look in. No vibration issues. It efficient so I know I am helping the environment.

It does use the HE detergent, which is widely available in many grocery/big box stores. My cloths are much cleaner, I did a test, I put just my white socks in, did it the same way I did it with the old Maytag, and my socks came out bright white like they were brand new, never happened with the Maytag. I highly recommend this machine to anyone.
