Excellent value and washer

After months of research and reading the valued opinions on this site I finally selected the LG brand washer model WM0642HW front loading washer. Got it delivered Saturday and by Sunday night I was searching for more laundry to do!
I compared various LG models side by side on the Best Buy site and on the home page of LG and thought that this model offered the most features for the money. I wanted the steam washer but thought the price was just too high. I've been very pleased with the performance and superb cleaning ability of the washer, which has a more traditional look with the rear control panel, a look I prefer over the boxy look of other front load washers with the control panel on the front. Additionally, I haven't been bothered by or have noticed the excessive washer vibrations which several reviewers of various LG models noted. I'd say the vibration level is minimal and only noticeable when standing right by the machine. I read the owner's manual thoroughly before I started doing laundry and use the HE Tide detergent plus a water softener as we are on a well and have hard water. One of the features I really liked was the energy and water efficiency as we're also on a septic tank. The washer wasn't as quiet as I expected: when filling with water machine tends to be noisy. But I expect the washer to be very reliable with its direct drive motor and therefore no belts to worry about breaking, sagging, slipping, etc. I also purchased the matching dryer ( DLE0442W ) and like the machine equally as well except the drying time is longer than the selected cycles indicate because my laundry is still damp and I have to start the dryer again. I think it's just a matter of getting used to the settings though. Overall I'm very pleased.
The washer (I believe it's exclusive to Best Buy as Home Depot didn't carry this model) lists for $900 and the dryer lists for $800. Best Buy took 10% off each item and an additional $175 off the total to match the LG/Home Depot Gift Card promotion currently offered. Plus free delivery (NO rebate form to send in) and offered 24 months interest free financing. A heck of a deal!
Love the large capacity, ease of use, low water use, outstanding cleaning and value of this quality washer.
