LG LDF6810 Built-in Dishwasher - EXCELLENT

by   ben_salvadori ,  Sep 25, 2007
Pros: Quiet, almost silent when running! The cleaning quality is impressive
Cons: Flatware rack is a bit awkward
The Bottom Line: Two most important reasons to buy a dishwasher: 1.) Sound level, 2.) Cleaning quality. This dishwasher hits a grand slam in both categories.
Review: I purchased this dishwasher from an on-line appliance store. I did a lot of research on appliances since I just remodeled my entire kitchen. After seeing a demo of this dishwasher at a local store, I then searched on-line for the best price I could ...

I like it already! Very Quiet machine

by   nienie ,  Mar 1, 2009
Pros: Quiet.......LARGE INSIDE.....sturdy feel.....
Cons: Silverware basket, maybe a difficult purchase for hardwood or laminate floor
The Bottom Line: Would most likely buy again doing it all over.  Nice machine for the cost.  Stainless steel inside and hidden element no melted dishes.
Review: Seriously people....I previously owned a Maytag 300 series jetclean that is junk to this.  I have only had this a short time but I did a lot of shopping to actually bring this paticular one home.  This dishwasher is extremely quiet. ...

LG LDF6810 Dishwasher

by   msochan ,  Nov 2, 2007
Pros: Beautiful styling, cleans well
Cons: Poor reliability, some noise
Review: This dishwasher caught our eye for style. After reading online reviews it seemed like it rated well by other users. It has cleaned well, but the cycles are quite long (2 hours for some cycles). Our biggest concern from the reviews seemed to be ...

Don't Recommend Due to Motor Failure

by   macslash7 ,  May 1, 2008
Pros: Cleans well, very quiet, deep upper rack
Cons: MOTORS FAIL! Drying is subpar. Tines in racks are too close together.
The Bottom Line: Recommend a different manufacturer do to the frequent failure of the motors. It's likely to happen to you and the labor to repair it will probably be at your expense.
Review: My wife and I bought the LG6810 (black) at Home Depot 13 months ago. I bought it because it was on sale for around $300 when it was listed at $600. I thought this was a fantastic deal. I'm not so sure now. It's been an OK performer up to this time. ...

LG Dishwashers stink...literally!!

by   eldo68 ,  May 20, 2008
Pros: several brands are as quiet, so that's no reason to buy
Cons: mildew, dirty dishes after washing, lousy customer service, terrible product.
The Bottom Line: Don't even look at a LG dishwasher and definitely do NOT buy a LG dishwasher!
Review: I also got stung by buying an LG dishwasher in April, 2007 at Home Depot. The first one was damaged and the second one was finally installed in July, 2007. I did 2 loads and the dishes came out wit black gunk all over them. Turned out the installers ...

Watch out on this one

by   gladtohelpu ,  Feb 17, 2008
Pros: Quiet, lots of space, locks so the kids can't mess with the buttons
Cons: Motor problems
The Bottom Line: Do not buy - motor problems
Review: We purchased this dishwasher from Home Depot last spring and it worked well at first but we started experiencing poor cleaning starting in November. By Christmas we had to start hand washing dishes. LG was very responsive and had a local company take a ...

THIS MACHINE IS GARBAGE

by   renny3576 ,  Jan 15, 2008
Pros: When it works, it's quiet.
Cons: LG customer service consists of unhelpful, rude individuals trying to get you to quit calling.
The Bottom Line: Avoid this machine and other appliances from this company.
Review: We got an LDF6810WW installed, it didn't clean the dishes. After a LOT of fighting with the company, we gave up on service and went to where we bought it (Home Depot). They agreed to replace it. It worked for a few months and again quit working, this ...

LG Dishwasher is HORRIBLE

by   labsocket ,  Apr 13, 2007
Pros: Quiet
Cons: Stinks, doesn't clean, doesn't rinse, tines too short and long wash cycle.
Review: We bought this unit from Home Depot and it hasn't worked yet! Stinks when it runs, stinks when it is done. Doesn't clean and doesn't rinse. Tines are too close and too short, all the plates fall over onto each other. Takes two hours to do nothing. Our 20 ...

Avoid this dishwasher

by   chappie3 ,  Jul 16, 2007
Pros: Styling, tall tub capacity
Cons: Doesn't clean well, bad engineering
Review: Engineered poorly. Top rack design is faulty, with poor alignment to upper water source. The top rack touches the stainless door liner during cycle causing etching on the steel. Four service calls have failed to correct the problem. Now the dishes are ...

MOTOR FAILS, Customer Support Doesn't Care.

by   justdaves ,  Jul 22, 2008
Pros: Spacious drying rack for handwashed dishes.
Cons: Doesn't dry the dishes. Lengthy wash cycle (2 hours). Motor fails. Customer service run-around.
Review: There's a reason there is only a 1 year labor warranty. LG has a lemon on their hands and they know all profit margin would be lost with service calls. In order to honor a warranty, they require proof a purchase fax'd to them. After faxing, told to wait ...
