Nice but, tuner is unacceptable...

The Bottom Line: If you are willing to deal with the problems, then I say purchase the unit.
Review: I recently decided to check this unit out after some bad experiences with other ATSC DVD recorders and to see what else is out there.

Unfortunately, I did return this unit right away after noticing that the tuner had trouble picking up...

Review: This recorder does not have a built in digital cable tuner. It does not have flexible recording. There is only one positive, the recorder can record in VR format using -RW disks. EP recording is limited to six hours. The remote can control very few...

The Bottom Line: Do not buy - worked approximately 60% of the time. When shopping for a replacment for  LG DVD recorder DR787T in a  store another patron stated the same !

Review: Unit just died... no warning etc.  LG is of no help.  They charge, get this, shipping plus a $70.00 diagnostic fee just to let you know what it needs or if it can even be repaired.  They do NOT stand behind their products!!! MADE IN...
