Great dryer, but WAY overpriced!
Pros:
Works as promised; nice controls; window view; supports the remote monitor; matches the washer.
Cons:
OVERPRICED!
The Bottom Line:
If looks matter to you, get it to match your washer. Otherwise, you'd do as well with a less expensive model.

Let me start by saying I am completely satisfied with this appliance. It does exactly what it claims and does it well. We can wash towels, sheets, blankets, etc. and if we tell the dryer to get them "extra dry" they will come out with no moisture remaining.
The LG is not any more or less noisy than other dryers. I think the motor is a little less noticeable, but I'm probably splitting hairs here. I can't really say that this unit is revolutionary, like the LG washer, although the controls are very easy to use and completely digital, and it does offer an optional remote monitor, which shows you the current stage in the drying cycle and number of minutes remaining, and beeps when the load is finished.
I strongly recommend the pedestal, unless you are significantly below average height. The extra 12-18" really makes the doors easy to access, plus it provides you some useful storage space (our laundry room has only one shelf, so was definitely a plus for us).
Despite this being a wonderful dryer, I think LG is laughing all the way to the bank over the profit they're making on this. Aside from the neat user interface, it doesn't do anything radically different, yet it's nearly twice as expensive as an "ordinary" dryer, one that doesn't have the fancy controls or a window view of the inside. That's really all you're getting by buying this...and of course, a matching companion for their super awesome washer.
