Excellent Companion for the SteamWasher

We purchased a model DLE8377NM (Midnight Blue LG Electric Dryer) on 9/26/06 (along with an LG SteamWasher WM2688HNM) and it has performed perfectly so far. This dryer is loaded with drying programs for various types of clothing, such as permanent press, delicate, ultra delicate, speed dry, heavy duty, etc. and each of these programs can be tailored to your specific preference. The dryer is very quiet and runs for an extremely short period of time, mainly because the LG SteamWasher spins so fast that the clothes are almost dry when the wash cycle is finished. I have personally found it better to select “More Dry” on the dryer “Dry Level” setting as the clothes are still slightly damp with the default dryness setting. Between the SteamWasher and this dryer, there is noticeably less lint in the lint filter on this dryer, so it also appears to be extremely gentle with the clothes so I would expect them to last longer. I had the delivery men from Home Depot just deliver the washer & dryer and place them on the pedestals and then place them on those plastic discs for moving heavy items across the tile floor. I installed the washer and dryer myself from that point. After adapting the dryer for a right side vent exhaust (a reasonably easy task), and installing the electrical cord on the dryer and the washer drain & water hookup, I removed these plastic discs. All in all, I could not be more pleased with these new appliances. We bought them at Home Depot and took advantage of their 12 month, 0% interest payment plan, full delivery charge rebate, 10% off for applying for the Home Depot store card & an additional $250 store credit card rebate. A great deal. We also bought the 4 additional year warranty for $90.
