Big, efficient, functional dryer

My wife and I purchased this dryer in late June along with a WM2455 washer.

It's a little hard for me to review dryers, considering that in the past dryers have worked well for me and this one does also. (It's the problems that make us discerning and opinionated). In any case, it has performed well for us.

Loading and unloading is not difficult. It dries the largest loads that the WM2455 washer can produce. The lint screen is easily accessible and hard to forget because it is right in front of you with the door open. The screen cleans up readily, even if there is only a fine layer of lint present. It does tend to stick a little when I try to slide it back into position, but it's not been a problem as long as I'm not trying to force it.

I have not yet had any clothes damaged in this dryer, including a $275 down jacket that I would not have trusted to a lesser dryer. After running a hot dry cycle I have not noticed any areas that are hot to the touch. I have not yet found spots that would catch or tangle on clothes.

The controls are easy to use and the backlighting makes them easy to read in both broad daylight and a darkened room. Operation is quiet and smooth, and the drying cycles sync well with the matching washer. I cannot comment on the alarm buzzer because our dog hates most buzzer sounds and we keep the buzzer disabled. I have used the dewrinkling feature to keep clothes from sitting motionless for long periods of time and it seems to help some. I have found it necessary to set the dryness level to "very dry" each time. On "normal" the clothes come out slightly moist. While I don't believe it's possible to preset the "very dry" setting it is quite each to change each time.

We chose to buy the white color appliance to save cost and reduce the chance of them looking obviously dated 10 years from now. The buttons are attractive, tactile, and appear durable. Time will tell more.
