Power Button Problem

Bought this dryer 26 June 08; installed 1 July 08. Very happy with look and features.

Unfortunately I called customer service 6 July 08 because on/off button worked only sporadically and had to be heavily pressed when it worked at all.

(Note: we also bought the companion washer (WM0642HW)and its power button is extremely responsive.)

LG customer service was responsive & helpful. I was pleased to be able to talk to a human who seemed patient and understanding. LG technician came 8 July (although they could have come on the 7th but I had appts) and said technician would call to let me know when he was inbound.

Technician knowledgeable, respectful, pleasant, efficient. I even apologized for getting him out on such a seemingly insignificant issue (my son and husband said I should not have called). The technician indicated I was not the first customer to experience and report this problem.

He replaced the circuit panel and afterwards he had me press the on/off button several times to show that the problem had indeed been fixed. I was happy.

My satisfaction has been short-lived. The power button started exhibiting the same problem AGAIN within two days and now I am getting ready to call customer service again.

I thought I would check the Internet to see if anyone else who has this dryer has had the same problem.
