good picture,sound quality good but no true blacks

I bought this Vizio,Wednesday may 24 for 999.99 a one time buy now going on at Sams club. fairly easy to hook up but no real dark blacks and the contrast on Dvd thru component hookup not as good as I hoped for but a 1000k is a great price for hdtv ready.
