Krups FEM2B Toast Expert 2-Slice Toaster

I am a toast-burner. It seems like over the last decade or so, I have gone through toasters the way most people go through credit cards! I always end up with the same problem, the toast won't pop up, there's smoke coming through the grooves....

So, I decided that I was only going to invest in solid products designed by top of the line manufacturers, and that is what you get with KRUPS. Not only are their line of products attractive and contemporary, they stand the test of time and run circles around the cheaper competitors. Which brings me to the FEM2B. Granted, it is only a two slice, but it toasts quickly and to the perfect crisp to where you can pump out a lot of toast in a short period of time, as well as bagels, and muffins in the warming tray. It gives credit to it's Quartz Heating Technology that warms quicker and more evenly than the average toaster for the perfect edibles it produces.

While the toast comes out perfect, I am most impressed with the fact that safety is no worry because it stays cool on the outside and is built to protect you from getting shocked or electrocuted from wires because it is sturdy, encased in glass, surrounded by stainless steel brushed on metal. It has eight browning settings, which I usually go full force with the burnt mode! Even though I like my toast dark and dry, it never gets dry, it stays soft on the inside of the bread no matter how crisp it gets. Because of the way it warms and hyrates, I get fewer crumbs, as well. 

There is a lever in the front that has three options, and you can turn it to the right when you want to toast, and then left to lift bread or other goodies. Itis also amazing that for those of you (I no longer do this) who stock up on bread and freeze it, your troubles are over when it comes to popping in the frozen slices. You have the option to defroast first, and then toast to perfection. You can even hit a stop and eject button to have your goody just the way you want it.

This browning machine is 900 watts and is very easy to clean with a take out warming tray that is dishwasher safe. It is easy to wipe clean the outside, and it is very attractive, especially if you have stainless steel brushed appliances. I just relocated from Michigan to Florida, so I had to purchase all new appliances, large and small, and this is a multi-wonder for me. The size is right at 11.25" Long X 7.25" Wide and 8" high. I live in an apartment now with limited counter space, so every inch counts!

I personally think this is a great toaster for anyone who has a family, or desires multiple breakfast choices. If you rarely eat toast, a more simpler model may suffice. If you are looking for a quality investment, you can't go wrong with Krups! No problems thus far!!
