I gave up and gave it away

I bought this toaster because of a good magazine review. Well, the magazine was wrong; it is a poor toaster. I hate giving a bad review to a product, but this one deserves it.

The toast was rarely, if ever, toasted uniformly. On my own home made bread, it was often necessary to accept toast that was essentially burnt on one end and untoasted on the other. Low moisture store-bought bread was only a little better. In a year of use, I was never happy with this machine.

The swing-lever used for lowering and lifting is awkward.

The lift mechanism dow not always lift tpast far enough out of the toaster and it is necessary to pick at the toast peeking out with some sort of instrument.
