Noise reduction and low cost but bulky

Date of Review:  Sep 6, 2000
Review: In my opinion, you can put on the QZ99 and "almost" be completely shut out from outside noises.

These headphones are designed for noisy environments such as an airport or racetrack. They are ideal for someone who has a radio scanner and...

Definitely good at reducing noise, just wish they had bass...

Date of Review:  Aug 5, 2006
The Bottom Line: Great set of headphones if your not a bass junkie. Saves your ears and reproduces 40hz and up with great clarity.
Review: I recently was on a search for a new set of what I call earmuff type headphones. I started using them for online gaming so that I would hear more of the game sound than ambient real world sounds. I had never thought of it as "noise reduction" but,...

Heavy, but Effective

Date of Review:  May 25, 2004
The Bottom Line: I would recommend these headphones only for indoor use. They are great for blocking out noise at home or, say, on a plane. They might be too heavy for some.
Review: Pros:
-They block out sound astoundingly well--I believe they were designed for air traffic controllers, which would explain it. They also do so "passively" (meaning the way they are built naturally blocks out sound--rather than "actively,"...

First Noise Reduction Headphones, Not too bad.

Date of Review:  Mar 27, 2007
The Bottom Line: I recommend that if you are looking for something sturdy and well built, but heavy and uncomfortable, then pick these up.
Review: Pros: I purchased these headphones a few months ago in the hopes they would help me escape from reality. They do reduce a very noticeable amount of noise, so much that my husband usually has to walk up to me if I'm listening to something when I have...
